Cheese Boards for Every Season

When I first started Cheesy Lifestyle, I instinctively created boards that reflected the seasons. I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of nature’s cycles—the way the seasons change, the way the colors and flavors evolve—and I wanted my cheese platters to mirror that. Each season brings its own flavors, textures, and colors, and incorporating that into my boards adds a personal touch that’s not only visually appealing but also deeply connected to the time of year.
In the summer, I love the freshness of berries, soft cheeses like goat cheese, and the lightness of a crisp rosé. The warmth of fall calls for richer, earthier cheeses like Gruyère, paired with figs, pumpkin butter, and seasonal nuts. Winter is all about indulgence—strong, aged cheeses, hearty meats, and deep, warming flavors like smoked gouda and blue cheese. Spring brings new life, with fresh, vibrant vegetables, floral honey, and delicate cheeses that reflect the awakening of nature.
My favorite spring flavor is the triple crème Brie, paired skillfully with the right Honey.
But more than the ingredients, it’s the spirit of each season that I bring into every board. The colors. The joy. The beauty of each season of the year and, why not, each season of life. Whether it’s the warm sun of summer or the crisp chill of winter, I want every board to embody the feeling of the season and create an experience that feels in tune with the moment.
